Equivocal Death

Falls Creek is not with out it's gloomy side and we have an unsolved homocide that maybe someone can help solve.

Case Synopsis:

Victim:


Donald Irvin Johnson
DOB: 06/11/29
White Male - 66 Years old at time of death.
Black hair
5'9", 185 lbs.

Case Information:

On July 17, 1995, The victim was found lying in the above yard at the above location and had been there for an undetermined time period. The victim was found after a call was received from a friend that had arrived at the business/residence to visit. The body was partially decomposed. After a search, he located him lying in the yard with overgrown weeds directly behind the building. The victim was last seen at approximately 5:00 p.m. on July 15, 1995 by neighbors. A few days prior to his death, the victim had been seen and appeared to have been in some type of scuffle, as he had bruises and dried blood about his face. After a thorough investigation the events up to and until the time of death are unknown. The coroner ruled the death as a homocide. The pathologist report indicated the victim died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and neck. It was the feeling of the coroner and the pathologist that the victim had been beaten to death.

History:

It should be noted the victim has been described as a heavy drinker and for the most part, a loner. He was in the process of selling his business and had some friends as perspective buyers. During the investigation, these same associates had benn interviewed but no extensive or suspicious information has come tp light. Nor has any such motive been raised. The victim had a considerable amount of assets and made a habit of having a large sum of cash around his residence, and carried about his person. Investigators have not been able to substantiate if a theft occured.
